Although the beach is beautiful and the staff is friendly, I have no respect for an organization that does not keep its promise to its customers. Management did not end up honouring their commitment saying too much time had elapsed although I started following up the day after our departure when I saw the credit had not been applied to our bill as agreed. The credit was however never applied to our bill and after following up 3 times with the hotel I had to write to the general manager. It took some time to come to an agreement and to be moved to another room as well as be provided with a credit.
We are both managers so understand the need for upkeep and showed patience but after a few days we inquired whether the work would soon cease as the paint smells were giving us headaches. Unfortunately the room and terrasse next door were being renovated.
I surprised him and booked what I thought would be a beautiful room with private plunge pool. We were headed for a romantic getaway to visit a beautiful island which my husband had lived in for numerous years.
